It’s that time of year, Fall! This is every landscape and nature photographer’s favourite time with the amazing natural light, beautiful cloud formations and of course the changing colors of the fall foliage.
This year I was really looking forward to getting out and hiking, as I have never packed all my main DSLR gear and drone into a hiking bag for an extended trek. We averaged 7-mile hikes each day and it was definitely a workout carrying a full DLSR kit (tripod, 3 lenses and filters) plus a drone with its camera, 3 huge LiPo batteries, backup props, a controller and 7″ monitor… But totally worth it!
We hiked all throughout the Adirondack mountains in Upstate New York and totaled 4 major hikes in 6 days. We were super lucky with the weather and only had rain on one day of our trip. New York is absolutely beautiful with lakes, mountains, wildlife and tons of history. Featured in our video is Fort Ticonderoga and the people working the museum make sure your experience is authentic with firing cannons, leather shoemaking, and legit reenactments.
I highly recommend visiting Upstate New York any time of year!
